Teresa Kline

Teresa Kine, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother, passed away peacefully on February 20, 2026 surrounded by her family at the age of 96 in Canon City, CO.

Teresa was born on a farm south of Dighton, KS on January 3, 1930. She graduated from Monte Vista High School and attended Adams State Teachers College in Alamosa, CO. She worked nights at the telephone company while attending college during the day and later in life worked at the Holy Cross Abbey in Canon City, CO and eventually retiring from Bridger Coal Mine in Rock Springs, WY. After retiring, she moved back to Canon City, CO.

Music was very important to her. She was in band all four years of high school and she was first chair clarinetist in college. As a young lady Teresa would get her car up on two wheels, drive around town, pull into a garage until the cops went by and then do it again. Teresa was very athletic and loved ice skating in her younger years, was the shortstop on the baseball team, played tennis and bowled in Wyoming and Fremont County for many years. Teresa was a women's Wyoming state championship bowler. She also loved the outdoors, rock hunting, gardening and playing pinochle.

Teresa raised five kids and was rewarded with all the grandchildren. She had 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. She found joy in watching the grandchildren at school events, sporting events and any event that they participated in. She loved decorating for Christmas and the grandkids loved Christmas at Grandma's house and anytime she fed them their favorite meal of vanilla ice cream and popcorn.
